Crashed Out by Tessa Bailey

I'm still pinching myself about getting to read Crashed Out early. Tessa is one of my favorite authors. Her books are an automatic purchase any time I see them listed on Amazon. I was thrilled by the chance to step into Sarge and Jasmine's world and give a review.

For previous Bailey readers I'd peg Made in Jersey series as a combination of Line of Duty and Broke and Beautiful. The sweetness and playfulness of the super group combined with the intensity and uber-hotness of Line of Duty.

Sarge absolutely blew me away with his . . . everything. Hot, endearing, giving, confident, sweet and endless other amazing adjectives. I have a huge soft spot for the guys who try to take care of those around them, and spoil them. Sarge meeting his niece melted me and his car interlude with Jasmine was nearly supernova. Sarge wasn't perfect, having a few issues with anger, leaving people, and trying to "fix" things that weren't necessarily broken. But honestly he was about as perfect as anyone can get.

Jasmine required a little more warming up to. I loved her attitude and protectiveness over her life/ the people she loved. I was a bit frustrated she wouldn't let Sarge in, mainly because I could see his point of view and how much he felt for her. Watching Jasmine's confidence grow was interesting. Seeing her journey from bitterness her dream didn't come true, to acceptance having everything she really wanted sent a good message. Failing doesn't mean the end.

Together, they were more than explosive. I can't wait for Tessa to do a check-in with those two someday. The ending was feel-good and a little sappy, but I totally ate it up. I'm excited for the next part of the series, a novella starting James and Lita. There was such tension from these two spitfires. I cannot wait. Of course I'm very interested in what will happen to River, Sarge's sister, in the next book. Someone is going to have a lot of groveling to do.

Basically, pick up this book! Sarge's sweetness will warm you up better than warm blankets and cocoa. He'll be your newest book boyfriend, guaranteed!

Teaser Lines: " Sarge muttered something in his sleep and turned over on the bed. Everything south of Jasmine’s breastbone tugged. Don’t look…don’t look…

She looked. And her chin fell."

See you real soon!
